Jules Martin
I am a professional working actor and qualified teacher of Drama/Lamda. I trained back in the early 90s at The Birmingham School of Speech & Drama (as it was called then) and gained my Equity card soon after.
After years of work as a jobbing actor, I gained a PGCE qualification (with QTS) in Drama teaching at Middlesex University in 1998.
My teaching experience has crossed a range of ages and abilities. Having taught in mainstream Schools (GCSE & A Level), Colleges (BTEC), Drama Schools, Theatres and Stage Schools, I decided I wanted to work freelance and challenge myself to new opportunities.
After undertaking Lamda training and networking with so many wonderful Lamda Teachers, I realised I had finally found my niche. Lamda seems to combine all of my skills and I am absolutely passionate about the huge benefits of Lamda as a qualification and the life skills that develop from my Lamda teaching.
I am currently teaching Lamda online and at a local Catholic Girls School.
I also continue to work as a professional actor and I am represented by The Wintersmith Agency.
I am extremely proud of my students outstanding Lamda results and of my 2022 ISA Shakespeare monologue competition winner.
I have a current DBS on the update service and I hold QTS.
