Lamda Examinations

Lamda Examinations

Lamda qualifications are rooted in encouraging learners of any age to develop a passion for performing, appreciating literature, understanding poetry, developing truthful characters and engaging an audience.

This enables standards of communication to improve through the spoken word.

Lamda ignites the imagination, developing both written and performance skills. Public Speaking builds confidence and creative presentation skills, whilst enabling improved memorisation techniques and recall ability.

Self confidence will grow and empower the learner to achieve their goals and succeed in life.

Lamda is Ofqual recognised and therefore is an actual ‘qualification’ and can be taken at four levels:

  • Entry Level
  • Level 1 – Lamda Grades 1, 2 & 3
  • Level 2 – Lamda Grades 4 & 5
  • Level 3 – Lamda Grades 6, 7 & 8 (Bronze, Silver & Gold Medal Level)

There are also Introductory Lamda Examinations for young performers who are taking their very first steps in memorising, reciting and communicating.

To give you a simple comparison, I have listed below some examples of the equivalent qualifications:

  • Lamda Entry Level – Entry Level Functional Skills
  • Lamda Level 1 – NVQ Level 1, BTEC Level 1
  • Lamda Level 2 – GCSE, Higher Diploma
  • Lamda Level 3 – AS & A Level, BTEC National

Lamda Medal level exams carry UCAS Points which will benefit university applications. For example a Grade 8 Lamda exam result at Distinction level, carries 30 UCAS Points.

Employers will often seek out candidates with LAMDA qualifications on a CV as it demonstrates strong communication skills, confidence and leadership abilities.

Lamda qualifications can be of huge benefit in an interview situation, making you stand out from the crowd!
